Hamlet, North Carolina, the birthplace of my musical/spiritual guide--John Coltrane. In August of 2023, I visited this aptly named country town with my son Ian, a high school trumpet player and percussionist, seeking a connection to Coltrane and his beginnings.

John Coltrane was born September 23,1926 in Hamlet, but soon thereafter his parents moved to High Point, where Coltrane grew up and attended high school.

Da Reset GoGo Band

From 2024-25 I played rhythm/lead guitar in Da Reset GoGo Band. We jammed every week, played a few shows and constantly improved our crank groove with heavy percussion, a funky rhythm section and dynamite vocalists. Here's a clip from a show in a club in northern Virginia:

Space Ghost Revival

This new band is a spin-off from the go go band. We mix genres from R&B and funk to rock

and jazz. The band is:

Ghost: rhythm/lead guitar and vocals

Gani: keyboards, alto sax and vocals

E: trumpet and percussion

Count Backwards

From 2008-2018 I played rhythm/lead guitar in the alternative rock band Count Backwards, a duo with rhythm guitarist/vocalist Zak. We jammed every weekend, recorded a couple of songs and opened up a reunion show for Zak's former band.
