About the Author

Justin R. Wert is a night owl novelist and musician whose day job is teaching writing and literature at a community college.  Wert was born in California but grew up in Connecticut.  He traveled back and forth across America for a few years before settling in Mississippi.  Justin helped raise three boys and completed his undergrad and graduate work while teaching writing and literature courses at colleges in Mississippi, South Carolina and Virginia.  His work experiences—from construction laborer and house painter in California to teaching at an alternative school in the Mississippi Delta; from teaching college night classes and chauffeuring in Charleston SC to owning and operating a food truck in Virginia—infuse his stories with humor, gritty realism and intercultural friendships.
